Kazakhstan Financial Sector CIO’s and CTO’s Have Paid a Visit to the Colvir Tech IT Brunch

A banking conference headlined Colvir Tech: Security. Integration. Ecosystems was staged in Almaty on December 5 designed for CIO’s, CTO’s, department heads and leading information security staff of Kazakhstan banks, micro-finance institutions and the national postal operator. The event was organized by Colvir Software Solutions — the international finance industry IT solution vendor and supplier of the Core Banking System used by 15 Kazakhstan financial institutions.

The keynote IT branch topics included as follows:

• Service Bus — a tool to facilitate integration and ecosystem building. 
• Security Server constructed on a state-of-the-art technology stack as a barrier against unauthorized access to the system.
• Smart Data Hub — a high-speed data thoroughfare.
• How to stop the production base growth and conduct a quiet archiving without interruption to the system operation.
• The importance of reports and effective tools for their generation.

Developing own solutions and adapting a state-of-the-art technology stack to meet customer needs is an everlasting part of the Colvir team activities. We always stay in touch with our bank IT department colleagues, and we consider having with them face-to-face meetings to discuss existing and new bank automation solutions quite essential and valuable for us, as well as for our customers. We presented at the IT brunch our own view on technology development trends in the fintech area, gave a detailed account of key solution capabilities, discussed with IT directors their concerns, and presented new functionality that may become available in Colvir products in 2025.

The topics that drew most interest and attention from the participants were presentations on Security Server 3.1, user activity logging and new monitoring system and service window management module developments. 

Conference participants included professional IT staff from Eurasian Development Bank, Nurbank, Forte Bank, Zhusan Bank, Otbasy Bank, Freedom Bank, Halyk Bank, Center Credit Bank, Altyn Bank, KMF, microfinance institution, KazPost postal operator, Unifdied Pension Savings Fund, as well as from other Kazakhstan companies.

The IT brunch format enabled us to do more than just present company solutions. The focus was largely on the architecture, technology capabilities and technology stack — the most relevant topics for CIO’s and CTO’s. We shared with our colleagues advantages and functionality of solutions built leveraging React, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Docker, KeyCloak and other technologies. Participants were very much involved, actively asked questions, and shared their own experience.

The Colvir Tech IT brunch concluded the series of international events staged by Colvir in 2024, that included banking conferences in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, presentations and expositions at industry forums and Central Asian summits, bootcamp courses organized for experts in Georgia and Turkmenistan to study Colvir CBS, as well as other events. The international Colvir expert community is looking forward to even more pertinent and interesting events in 2025.
