Colvir professional team have deployed new Service Bus 1.0 services that have facilitated integration with the BSS Internet Banking solution, and have implemented the Notification Service
August 2023 saw the completion and transfer to support of the integrated project for updating the Colvir CBS version and implementing new solutions at the KZI bank in Kazakhstan. The Project comprised 3 large parts: optimization and replication of developments impacting the CBS Kernel, the Notification Service delivery and setup, and Service Bus 1.0 delivery.
We performed the Kernel-related works and the Notification Service implementation without much hassle, as scheduled at the start of the Project. The Project largely targeted launching mobile banking and internet banking services, and it was actually for this reason that Service Bus 1.0 was to be delivered. The largest proportion of the Project duration was spent stabilizing this Project part. As a result, we coped with this as well, and no open questions remained. On the whole everything went quite routinely. I believe we developed a kind of rapport with the Bank team, and for this reason no issues or objections were raised from either side in the course of Project implementation.
I would like to thank the vendor’s team for their work within the scope of the Colvir CBS version update project. I especially want to note the high degree of professionalism displayed by the team in promptly resolving any issues that came up. Our Colvir colleagues always stayed in touch and provided their full support in addressing any arising tasks. I would also like to thank them for their active support within the scope of the ongoing Internet Banking system implementation project.
The Bank has received a number of improved systems. Besides the standard solutions, a number of bespoke developments have been carried out for KZI, such as obtaining the Annual Effective Rate of Return from Colvir CBS in the loan services. The customer record has also been updated by adding attributes the Bank will leverage in the Notification Service.
Migrating to version 3.9.065 we received the new Service Bus which facilitates quick integration with the Internet Banking solution to support all the services that the Bank needs. I would especially like to mention the Notification Service where SMS notifications have been set up to alert customers to their debts falling into arrears. Later we are planning to set up SMS informing of upcoming payments. The implementation proceeded without any serious issues. The Colvir project team has demonstrated in the course of the Project a high professional level.
SMS notifications facilitate for the Bank informing customers of such important events as account movements, deposit transactions (cash collection/disbursement, rollover, closure), past-due loan notification. In future, the Notification Service may be extended to encompass other events for different CBS transactions that are essential for the Bank. Service Bus 1.0 has enabled the Bank to obtain information it needs with regard to customers, their accounts and products for its applications, viz. for the mobile and internet banking solutions. This would provide a range of opportunities for further expansion of the Bank’s online services.
The Service Bus installation continues the ecosystem development trend that is relevant for the whole banking sector of Kazakhstan. The mobile and internet banking functionality upgrade has made the user experience of the Bank’s customers simple and user-friendly. And the 24/7 Notification Service availability enables customers to always stay in touch and receive information in a timely manner.
We have been collaborating with the KZI Bank for over 10 years. Colvir products help the Bank’s customers to get top quality services, and assist the Bank to conduct its activities in compliance with international standards. In order to ensure that banking services always meet the contemporary world requirements in terms of their speed, reliability and high quality, it is essential to keep updating and upgrading them on regular basis. We would like to thank the Bank for their trust and for the opportunity to accompany the Kazakhstan Ziraat International Bank on their road of further developing their systems, their products and services for the Bank’s customers.
