Top-of-the-agenda courses include the following: Java and Python programming languages, project team leadership, and the English language
Autumn is traditionally considered to be the appropriate time for the launching of educational programs and for professional skill development. This year Colvir Software Solutions employees have been given an opportunity to improve their command of English and master Java or Python, while a team leadership program has been organized for development project managers.
Due to the specific nature of our company’s business that specializes in IT development, the level of interest in programming languages displayed by non-core employees remains quite high. Despite the fact that since 2021 we are already staging the forth BootCamp Python stream and the second BootCamp Java stream, the number of employees on the waiting list is not getting any smaller. The training program scope includes for its participants the requisite theoretical component, a lot of hands-on workshops, and defense by each participant of his/her own design project.

October 10 saw the start of classes for the first BootCamp English. The significant degree of interest in learning English shown by employees means that such programs will be continued. Two groups have been organized, one of which will start training from the A1-A2 level, while the other will proceed from the B1-B2 level. Thanks to the broad geography of Colvir presence, besides practicing their language skills while performing their training assignments, BootCamp English participants will also be in a position to do so in the course of their regular work.
The Project Team Leadership course was conducted in flash session format, and offered maximum hands-on-focus. Development project managers were studying management competences, situation leadership, productive communications, conflict prevention and control, as well as other topics.
The course enabled its participants to see familiar things in a new light, and find answers to questions that had been worrying them for a long time. The diagnostics helped to better understand oneself and one’s colleagues, lay down development paths, form a work strategy with respect to different types of tasks and teams, as well as for each individual employee. Being a development project manager is a very interesting occupation, multifaceted and multitasking. On top of defining and constructing a competent strategy and planning complex tasks, it also requires of the person assuming this role ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, build long-term productive relationships with project team members / customers / colleagues / management, support and motivate his/her team. The tools thus obtained will facilitate selecting the optimum management style for each employee type. As far as I am personally concerned, I set several goals for myself and my team: algorithm optimization to ensure effective manager actions when setting tasks, motivating, controlling employees of various types; business and personal interaction productivity increase, communication competence and stress resistance development.

It is common wisdom that education is the most valuable currency of the 21st century, and we, Colvir Software Solutions, plan to continue and develop further our programs designed for our employees to learn languages, acquire new skills and competences.
