Colvir implements new integration of its CBS to the SmartVista Switch, and helps Activ Bank to migrate to the new card solution as painlessly as possible
Active Bank is a Tajikistan full-service commercial bank that has been a successful user of Colvir CBS for over 10 years. Once the Bank has migrated to a new card transaction Switch, it set Colvir the task of developing plastic card operations support within the shortest feasible space of time.
In response to the Bank’s request, we proposed a CBS-integrated solution leveraging the Card System Back Office module that incorporates a user-friendly and flexible product factory. I would like to note the high competence level of the Bank’s team with regard to plastic cards that has ensured successful integration project implementation despite periodic issues with task specifications on the part of the Processor. Thanks to the joint efforts we have managed to comply with all requirements of the Bank pursuing the goals of business development and optimization, and that of offering to customers new remote banking opportunities.

Account Manager
The Card System Back Office module automates the process of making card products available to customers with support of individual, corporate, payroll disbursement, co-branded, service and other contract types, as well as all the listed card types including non-personalized, pre-paid and virtual ones.
A user-friendly adaptive tool has been implemented for Activ Bank to facilitate plastic card contract status changes in the Core Banking System in response to plastic card status change information received from the Processor. We implemented this solution based on the new SmartVista system format leveraging SVXP files in XML format. This is actually integration into the new Switch product.
Yuri Zavorykin
Business Analyst for the Card System Back Office Module
Tajikistan is experiencing a continuous increase in the number of plastic cards in circulation, and the implemented solution is an imperative and timely step for the Bank. According to statistical data of the Tajikistan National Bank, 7,6 million card holders in the country make use of 8,71 million plastic cards, and those are not only bank ones. In 2024 alone the value of transactions performed using plastic cards grew from USD 700 million in January to over USD one billion in August. In their assessment of the implementation project Activ Bank representatives note especially the high degree of the Colvir team proactivity and initiative.
Colvir has successfully implemented the new Card System Back Office module within the scope of migration to the new switch. The process of our collaboration with Colvir went smoothly thanks to the high quality of software development and prompt implementation of tasks. At this point in time, we are going through the stabilization period, and this is why comprehensive impressions of the available functionality will emerge later.
