The Ashgabat Colvir Camp 2024 event brought together representatives from the country’s banking community and finance sector experts.
The country’s own banking system emerged in Turkmenistan in 1991. Today the country has an up-to-date banking system and is keen to ensure its future development and technological sovereignty. In order to support the country’s banking sector Colvir has prepared the banking conference and an educational workshop to cover the most relevant and important fintech solutions.
The digital transformation of Turkmenistan will enter in 2024 its final phase. Colvir Software Solutions having been present in the Turkmenistan financial market since 2008 and serving 90% of the country’s financial flows is proud of this opportunity to make its contribution to banking IT development, and to improving bank employee skills. The first banking conference in Turkmenistan is for us an important and demanding event. For the first time in many years, we could meet our customers, our colleagues and our partners face-to-face, discuss with them current fintech industry trends, and tell them about products that are relevant to Turkmenistan digitalization.
Denis Yudin
Director, Business Development Department Colvir Software Solutions
The conference business program featured presentations on products that are the most needed ones in Turkmenistan. Among those was the project for migration to ISO SWIFT – the international standard for exchanging payment messages that is being implemented proactively worldwide, and by 2025 will become the world’s principal “language” of financial exchange.
My presentation was dedicated to the new SWIFT standard — ISO 20022. We discussed the reasons for the new standard emergence with our colleagues from Turkmenistan banks, considered finance industry areas encompassed by ISO 20022, and why migration to this standard is crucial for all participants of the global financial community. Conference participants were very much involved and demonstrateв genuine interest in the topic.

Account Manager Colvir Software Solutions
Especial attention was drawn from the audience by products for remote banking service delivery for the implementation of which there is real public demand in Turkmenistan.
Up-to-date remote banking service delivery solutions take customer digitalization experience to a radically new much higher level. My presentation was devoted to potential remote service delivery channel development in Turkmenistan leveraging Colvir products. Conference participants highly appreciate the potential of the corporate and individual mobile applications. Bank officers had an opportunity to learn about the service delivery products, advantages that they offer to bank customers, the simplicity and flexibility of their administration on the CBS side.
Stanislav Malinin
Presale Manager Colvir Software Solutions
The Colvir Software Solutions presence in the international fintech market has made in possible to include in the conference program relevant experience of neighboring countries: Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Nurlan Sarsebekov, an independent expert who has experience of working as IT director in the largest Kazakhstan banks, presented his view of banking transformation and shared current trends.
The second part of the Ashgabat Colvir Camp 2024 was an educational workshop for experts dedicated to the Colvir CBS architecture attended by employees of 8 Turkmenistan banks.
This event has left a very positive impression. Turkmenistan attendees have shown themselves as attentive listeners, proactive participants, responsible and competent professionals. They received an array of theoretical knowledge and gained experience in the use of interactive training materials, and successfully fulfilled their qualification assignments. I may note the obvious desire of Turkmenistan bank employees to develop and improve their skills — a lot of interest was drawn by our extended course on CBS setups, as well as other opportunities for expertise enhancement that Colvir is prepared to implement in Turkmenistan.
Vladislav Kurnenkov
HRD and Colvir Training Center Director
In view of the high relevance for Turkmenistan of banking sector digital transformation, and the demand from banks for their professional employee skill improvement, Colvir is launching a series of webinars to facilitate further training in technologies and solutions required in order to digitize the financial sector.
The event concept has made it possible to involve a large number of Turkmenistan banks and to combine the business part of the program with an educational course. Our objective to update customer knowledge and to assist the implementation of the presidential digitalization program has met with an active response from the country’s total banking sector. All event participants have demonstrated openness to new trends, readiness to learn and develop themselves for the benefit of the bank, the country and their own future. We, for our part are ready to support these endeavors
And are already planning further events in Turkmenistan.
