Bootcamp is an intensive training format where participants can acquire new knowledge at a fast rate and over a short period of time. Later on, the key principle of such training camps, the intensive training process, was adopted by educational IT schools.
Colvir has implemented Bootcamps designed for different areas:
- It is vital in the digital technology era that developers should possess the latest technical skills. We propose the following lines: Python, Java, React, Information systems architecture.
- Management techniques knowledge is essential for successful business conduct, and thus we implement training in Project Management, MS Project, Risk Management.
- Language training: English.
Besides, we are not twiddling our thumbs – we are making plans for Bootcamp events in new areas. For example, this year the following Bootcamps have been implemented: Python, Java – Advanced level for more mature users who are already developing software in Python and Java, but would like to develop further in this area. And this is far from everything.
What are in your opinion the key advantages offered by this type of training?
- Intensity: the duration of such programs typically varies from a few weeks to three months facilitating quick material assimilation.
- Practical focus: training includes field work, projects, final abstracts.
- Cross-functionality: opportunity to study allied subjects expanding one’s horizons.
- Development of intra-company communications: between teams that participate in different projects with whom you rarely come into contact on the job.
Bootcamp is a training format that improves our expertise and the overall company’s competitive edge. By providing access to up-to-date skills we are building up a team that is ready to meet future challenges.
